Sandra’s Legacy

Sandra Stevenson believed every child deserved the opportunity to read, create, imagine, and feel seen.

As a third grade teacher and an artist, Sandra spent her life encouraging children to explore their creativity and believe in what they were capable of becoming. Whether through the pages of a book, a box of art supplies, or the simple encouragement of a teacher who cared, she understood how meaningful it could be to place something inspiring into a child’s hands.

After Sandra's passing, her family wanted to find a meaningful way to honor the life she lived and the things she loved most. The Sandra Stevenson Legacy of Imagination was created to continue what Sandra started.

Through donations of books, art supplies, and creative resources, the Legacy will help provide students with books they can call their own and the tools they need to create, explore, and dream. Each donated book will carry Sandra’s Legacy bookplate, allowing a small piece of her story to travel home with every child.

And this is only the beginning. Through an annual Legacy Project, Sandra’s family hopes to continue finding meaningful ways to support literacy, art, and imagination for children year after year.
